When you go to give yourself an avatar, there is a size limit of 150x150 pixels. If your image is larger than that, by typing in the numbers, it will be automatically resized to those numbers. The problem is, unless your image is a perfect square, it will distort it and force it to be 150x150, so if anyone cares enough to fuck with it, I can show you how to fix it.

1. Click User Control Panel

2. Click "Profile" tab

3. Click Edit Avatar

4. Paste in the URL of the avatar you're wanting to use

Now is the math part. Lets say the avatar you're using is a 650x372 image. To get it to stay proportional, but fit in the avatar box you need to take the biggest number down to 150. So your width, in this case, is going to be 150. Now to get the other number down the correct amount, you'll need to figure out the percentage of size change. Pretty easy, actually. Take your desired number, 150, and divide it by your current number, 650.

150/650=.231

So to get your width, take your other number and multiply it by the answer of the above.

372 X .231= 85.9

I'm not sure if it'll let you use decimals, so always round down. In this case, the numbers you'd put in the little boxes would be 150 and 85.
